The best way to get an estimate is to stop by the shop with your boat or RV. We are open weekdays, 9-5 pm and no appointment is necessary. We can also provide estimates by evaluating photos. Photos are great, however sometimes hairline stress cracks can't be seen in the photos. If we provide an estimate from photos, that item will be re-evaluated once we get our eyes on it to make sure all damage is addressed. To submit a request for an estimate, please use the "request a quote" link on this site or email us at calibremarine@outlook.com.
We work with all insurance companies. They all do things a little different, but the outcome is the same. Please know that you are our customer, not your insurance company. We will provide an estimate which can be used by the insurance company, but ultimately if you hire us to repair an item for you, we will go by our estimate, not the one from your insurance. Also, you will have to pay us for our work at time of pick up unless other arrangements are made. You are our customer and you are insurance companies customer. We can't request a payment from your insurance becuase we are not their customer, you are. The best way to do this is have your insurance pay you and you pay us when we are done.
If you require an estimate for an insurance claim, please give us a call and we will guide you through the process.
We do not have a mechanic and do not work on motors. However, we have been in business a long time and have a list of trusted partners we work with, and we will be happy to recommend someone in the area. Check out our trusted partners page!
We work on most jet skis except newer Sea Doo's. Sea Doo's have a plastic outer shell and we do not work with plastic. Older Sea Doo's are fiberglass and gelcoat, and we can still repair them.
Most of our gel coat is ordered from Specturm Color, an OEM gel coat supplier. If the boat is older, the gel coat will have to be matched or adjusted in-house. We have over 100 years of combined experience in gel coat matching. We do our best to make sure it's a prefect match, but we can't guarantee it.
We do not work on curved windshields. If the windshield is flat, you can take it to any local glass shop and they can assist you. If the windshield is curved, you can contact Ocean Dynamics in Florida or UPD Plastics to see if they can help.
I'd hate to say it, but the old saying is true. "Do you want to get it done correctly or get it done fast". You choose which one. Fiberglass repairs require time and we want to do the best repair we can so it will take some time. If you have some plans or trips and need the boat, we will do our best to get it done asap, but can't guarantee it and we will not be responsible for any plans or reservations you have to cancel or reschedule.
We can do warranty work for any boat manufacturer as long its approved and supported by the manufacturer. We have done warranty work for many boat brands that are not represented here in Colorado. Some examples are Skeeter, Vexus, Scamp Travel Trailers, Escape Travel Trailers, Big Foot Trailer, along with those that are represented here like Malibu, Axis, MasterCraft, Ranger, Triton, Cobalt, Tracker, Nitro and others. Buy the boat you want, and we will fix it if needed!!!
Fiberglass and gel coat repairs are much different than car repairs. We do spot repairs and there is no "book time" guide for those repairs. In automotive world, there is book time for every repair, no such thing here. We do our best to figure out an accurate time it will take to fix things. The cost comes down to several factors. Size of the damage, difficulty of the repair and the final finish. Final finish refers to flat color gel coat or metal flake. Metal flake requires more time because of the layers of metal flake and gel coat.
We warranty our repairs for 1 year with the exception of bottom paint and color match. If there are issues with the repair, it will have to come back to us for the warranty work or correction. We will not pay another shop to correct it because we have no agreements with that shop. We stand behind out work, but that means allowing us a chance to fix it. If you take it somewhere else before allowing us a chance to correct it, that will void the warranty.
Yes, we can! Because of the limited equipment we do not take boats off the trailer so you can do work on your trailer for example. However, we are a full-service shop and if you hire us to do a bunk job on your trailer, bring it all to us and we will take care of removing the boat off the trailer.
